1st Annual

On the 30th of August 2022, Ukubona Foundation hosted its first annual golf day fundraiser at the prestigious Randpark Golf Club’s Firethorn course. The aim of this day was to raise funds for eye testing and the donation of spectacles to school-going children in previously disadvantaged and underserved communities. Golfers came in their numbers to support the course and the day was a huge success. The proceeds raised on the day went towards more vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams, and the donation of spectacles to more children. The foundation’s goal is to host and grow this fundraiser annually, and through this attract strategic partners and volunteers, to be able to advance in the work that they do and in turn be more impactful by helping more children in different communities.
